STEM Symposium for Educators

Thank YOU for Attending The 2022 STEM Symposium!

The Gorge STEM Symposium is a professional development and training opportunity for Columbia Gorge Educators in Oregon and Washington. The Symposium has been held annually since 2017 and provides educators with opportunities to connect with their colleagues, learn new STEM strategies and gain inspiration to enhance their STEM education in the classroom. Each year is slightly different and designed around suggestions from teachers and administrators. 

This year's symposium was held virtually and in-person in The Dalles, OR.

46 local educators from across 6 counties attended, earning a combination of 224 PDU hours.

Trainings included:

  • STEAM 5E Lesson Development

  • Google Suite Applications for Classrooms

  • Using Children's Books to Inspire Engineering

  • Code.org Training

  • Elementary Engineers and Makers

  • Modern Manufacturing Externship
