Educator–Industry Matchmaking: Connecting Classrooms & Careers
At the heart of this initiative is a regional directory that makes it easy for educators to identify and connect with professionals across key industries. This tool will spark new collaborations, give students authentic real-world insights, and help build meaningful ties between schools, careers, and community.
By fostering these connections, we:
-
Enrich classroom learning with authentic industry expertise
-
Create interactive career exploration opportunities
-
Strengthen awareness of essential employability skills

Wasco County Building Codes Services

At Building Codes we enforce and help shape the uniform Oregon codes used for all types of construction. Our office issues permits for anything from a water line for a single-family dwelling, to a structural permit for the Google data center. We help inform and educate builders and homeowners on code requirements. We review plans to make sure that what is being proposed will be constructed to Code. We also inspect structures from the ground-up to make sure they are built per plan and per minimum Code requirements.
